Cognitive-behavioural therapy (C.B.T.)

CBT is a form of psychotherapy (talking therapy) that is the therapy of choice for the most common psychological difficulties such as depression and anxiety disorders (panic attacks, agoraphobia, OCD, generalised anxiety disorder and social anxiety, for example). It is effective in treating other psychological disorders. ( www.nice.org.uk & www.nhs.uk). It is also effective in addressing anger regulation problems, work related stress and problems associated with maltreatment in childhood.

If you are reading this you may have already discussed CBT or counselling with your doctor, or are interested in undertaking CBT as a treatment.
