Referrals are taken from individuals, G.P’s, Psychiatrists, Clinical and Forensic Psychologists, solicitors, local authorities and employers. I take referrals from the parents or guardians of young people aged 12 years and upwards, providing that they are in agreement with this. If you are considering CBT, I offer an initial, free, 15 minute telephone consultation. This will give you an opportunity to give me a broad understanding of the problem and we can discuss whether CBT is suitable to address it. If you wish, I am very happy for your GP to contact me regarding proposed therapy.
During this consultation I will explain the theories and methods underpinning CBT and what therapy will involve. We can also discuss practical matters, such as fees and proposed appointment times. I consult from discrete, rural, offices, near Hagley, Worcestershire. It is accessible with parking and a pleasant reception area. I also consult from The Cottage Therapy Centre in Kenilworth, on some days. I see clients during the day and during the evening. I am not currently offering weekend appointments. If you have health insurance cover with BUPA, Allianz, AXA PPP, Aviva, CIGNA, WPA or Simply Health, it is advisable that you check with your particular insurer the terms and conditions of your policy, prior to commencing therapy. Please quote the name of the Psychotherapist, Kenneth Finlayson, to your Health Insurance Company, as it is the actual Psychotherapist who is the approved provider.
Fees: I will discuss these with you during the initial telephone consultation, but they are within the usual range for CBT Psychotherapy.
